A&T GETS STAMP OF APPROVAL FOR NEW PH.D. PROGRAM IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

The University of North Carolina (UNC) Board of Governors recently announced the approval to establish a Ph.D. program in computer science at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

“We are eager to begin the work of establishing this new program,” said Dr. Beryl McEwen, N.C. A&T’s vice provost for strategic planning and institutional effectiveness at N.C. A&T. “The doctoral program is consistent with the North Carolina A&T’s Preeminence 2020 strategic plan that aims to enhance graduate education and research.”

The university expects to admit students into the program in the spring of 2014.
